Zottegem 03

Details

Inspired by a special watch

This client, a single man, was looking for an interior designer to furnish his new apartment in Zottegem with a feminine touch. During our initial meeting, my attention was drawn to the timepiece the client wore, and especially the unique colour composition with copper and light blue. This inspired me for my interior design of the apartment. The common thread in every room of this apartment is a subtle combination of warm white, soft blue and copper with occasional wood textures.

Full service project without any worries for the client

Interior designer Shanaz Razik took care of the entire interior of the apartment, from the living areas and bedroom to the office and laundry room. As always, I strived for the highest quality. Some adjustments were needed in the electricity and plumbing. I coordinated this taking away the stress of a renovation from the client. I was also happy to take care of the choice of furniture, lighting and accessories. Most designs were custom made very specific to the client such as for the sofa, curtains and cushions. The existing parquet floor in the bedroom and the dressing was completely refurbished so that it looks even more beautiful than before.

Eye for the smallest detail

At the front of the apartment is the client’s home office. The room has a warm but still masculine atmosphere through the use of special wallpaper with a tactile effect and extra accents in dark wood. The same wallpaper comes back on the wall between the dining area and the kitchen. In the bedroom I created a cozy effect with a rendered technique on two walls. With the addition of the bed against this and in combination with the carefully selected night tables, the chair and the wooden slats, this space is finished off. As an interior architect I leave no detail to chance.

Creating a feeling of home in your house

The client wanted a dining table in an organic form. I proposed an oval table, which fits beautifully in the space and forms a good combination with the two round copper lighting fixtures above it. In the living space I created an open atmosphere. Another detail that catches one’s eye open entering the room are the two sofas in two different fabrics. Here too I paid a lot of attention to the decoration and accessories (cushions, side tables, candles, frames, plants…) in the right place. The furniture is decorated with custom upholstery, which makes it very unique. This creates a subtle luxury feeling without exaggerating.
